World... don't judge me because I don't like to go to the bars.
As if I don't feel inadequate enough...
people have to make me feel as if I am weird because I don't like to drink and feel awkward around stinky-alcohol breath boys... and girls.
What happened to the days of dinner and a movie?

I just want to be courted... romantically...
and not from grinding next to me at the bar.
Is that so wrong?

a friend told me I was inspiring and that made me happy...

like this train ride from Venice to Rome.

I Could Use A Fireside Chat.

A high of 2 degrees fareinheit.
A wind chill of -20 degrees fareinheit.
My home.
Daniel, I could so use a fireside chat and your mom's apple cider.
We'll talk philosophy and love.
I miss you.
When are you coming home?

Do you even read this?

I DO Have Pastel On My Face.

Picture down due to sheer utter embarrassment.
I worked on this for 4/5 hours today. It is coming along.

to meet someone new to reverse my thoughts on men.

You'd think in a pool of 27,000.. over half of which are male... I'd find someone interesting. Yes. Today I am bitter. How cliche? Today of all days. I don't want to be bitter, really I don't. I want to love....

Sense the Tone.

It was so so cold today... but no. It was a good thing.... You know my body is more achy today than yesterday. So the chilly outdoors acted like my body's ice pack... Yes. I'm not resenting the cold.... No, not at all....

Remember Rome? Ahhhh Roma. It was warm there. I like warm.

The Aftermath and Women (Namely Me).

It feels a lot worse than it looks.... Not to mention the bruises on my knees and pelvis. I almost want to go back to the time when I believed kisses would help my "boo-boos" go away; that was such a simpler time. No wait... yes... kisses still help the pain go away.

Thoughts on women. Why do women, namely me, have to make things more than what they are? Why can't I just leave things be as they are/were in my memory: Let it exist greatly in my head and there alone. Let it be.

Currently feeling down... wanting to cry... (which may have something to do with my achy body and 4 hours of sleep every night this week).

That's Going to Bruise.

So I just fell down a flight of stairs in the College of Design.
Luckily for me the hard concrete floor softened my fall.
Yah, my chin is bleeding and the endorphins are making me shake uncontrollably as I type.
However, on the upside:
I didn't lose any teeth,
my computer is not damaged,
I didn't land on my pastel drawings,
and most of all a couple of cute landscape architect students cleaned my bleeding and carried my stuff to studio. I didn't catch their names in my haste to save face, but thank you to the kind LA boys for helping the girl who took on too much.

What Everybody's Saturday Morning Should Be.

A slightly early rise from a slightly late night.
The sun streaming through the window waking a sleepy girl's eyes.
A car pool. Destination: Downtown rural America.
The Grove Cafe: a mom-and-pop-esque cafe with uncoordinating dishes and "You're #1, Dad" coffee mugs.
A personal request for hot water to steep my own tea.
Made with love, Veggie Omelette special with salsa on the side.
And finally, but not at all least, the companionship of two dear friends.

We talk travel, apartments, ex-boyfriends, re-defining words, graphic design and the future. To top off the best of the best Saturday mornings, we head to the Antique mall and Worldly Goods, a fair trade world craft store. This day is starting off quite well.

Iowa is cold.
And I don't want to live here anymore.

"Sew = So" because I would rather be sewing than be cold.
